Celebrating the stories behind your favourite recipes.
Join some of Queensland and Australia’s best-loved food writers for the Food Tales Tour. In a series of regional tours visiting libraries throughout Queensland, Food Tales will bring words and stories to the table in a series of luscious narrative feasts.
A joint initiative of the Queensland Writers Centre and the State Library of Queensland, Food Tales is a celebration of the many traditions, cultures, and memories contained within recipes old and new. Come to the author talks to be inspired by our food writers’ stories, share in brunch / afternoon tea, participate in creative workshops to learn how to translate recipes and experiences into your very own food tales, and get the chance to explore what your local library has to offer. As an added bonus, the workshops will include practical digital publishing discussion, giving you the chance to contribute to the Food Tales website or even set up your own blog.
